Chased by Wolves perform first headline at The Georgian Theatre

The Georgian Theatre, Stockton is kicking off its spring season in style with the return of the hotly tipped Chased By Wolves for their first headline show in Teesside, on Saturday 3rd March. The alt-folk quintet blew crowds away at 2011’s Stockton Weekender, particularly impressing headliner Seasick Steve, and they now take the headline slot at March’s The Good Music Club, The Georgian’s mainstay night of quality folk and acoustic.

The band, who hale from Sunderland, have had their sound compared to artists as varied as Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac and Ryan Adams. They never fail to bring a huge, immersive beauty to their live performances of ‘Authentic brooding Americana’ (6 Music). Tickets are £4 in advance or £6 on the door and can be purchased from www.georgiantheatre.co.uk or call 01642 674115.

Also popping up in March (Saturday 9th) is the ever-popular Southmartins. You get two stellar tribute acts for the price of one as they perform the best of ‘The Beautiful South’ and ‘The Housemartins’. Local pop purveyors Andy Jones and The Norton Rockets provide the support for what promises to be a night of infectious, foot-tapping folk-pop.

Tickets are £5 in advance or £7 on the door and can be purchased from www.georgiantheatre.co.uk or call 01642 674115.
