The Pigeon Detectives confirmed for Stockton Calling 2012...

Indie rock behemoths The Pigeon Detectives have been announced as ARC’s headline act at this years Stockton Calling on Saturday 7th April.

The band are famed for their electric live performances, which are regular sell outs, and having a back catalogue that reads like the who’s who of Noughties anthems.

The Yorkshire 5-piece stormed onto the live music scene in 2006 when they found acclaim among DJs and the musical press after performing at Reading and Leeds festivals, being tagged as the “band most likely to leap to the main stage in 2007”.

They promptly fought their way to the forefront of indie rock playing sets at more major festivals and touring with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, James and Dirty Pretty Things.

The platinum selling act has produced three albums Wait For Me, Emergency and Up, Guards And At ‘Em! which have spawned sing-a-long hits such as Take Her Back, I Found Out, I’m Not Sorry and This Is An Emergency.

This announcement follows that of Young Rebel Set making their debut at the festival with a headline slot at KU Bar. More line up announcements are still to come, but as crowds are coming to learn, an eclectic mix of artists, both known and up-and-coming, can be expected from Teesside’s fastest growing and highly anticipated music experience.

Tickets are now on sale and are priced £12 in advance. As an added incentive to pre-book there will be an exclusive, and limited, free CD/Download featuring 10 local artists that will gracing the stages at this years event.
